At Aetna - CVS Health, we utilize a Design Component Library to enhance user experiences. Initially focused on desktop design due to predominant usage, we now adapt to the growing trend of mobile access to our website.

My role: Lead the redesign, planning, usability testing and Design QA before production.
Impact: Company wide impact on all the digital products.

Challenges
Decrease tech debt, Reduce redundancies, Business direction alignment, Stakeholder consensus, Managing development lift, Accessibility WCAG 2.0 compliant, Brand guidelines compliant, Increase in Ease-Of-Use, SAFe Release train timing adherence.


Process
Overall process involved 3 stages. Initiation, Iterative design, Testing.
Initiation:
Defining the pain points, drafting industrial standards, getting consensus on ideas.
Iterative design:
Feedback based modification cycle.
Testing:
Conducting non-moderated usability testing And/or live A/B testing based on the design confidence and testability
